NY based Jewelry designer, Eva lopez has over ten years of jewelry making experience. From intricate beading to glass blowing, to clay and metal, Eva incorporates all of her learned techniques and talents into her jewelry collections. The artist finds inspirations for her designs from her Spanish heritage, the brilliant artist Antoni Gaudi, her travels and the beauty of nature. In 2006, Eva spontaneously opened up her own boutique, Casa Artistica, in Port Jefferson , New York, where she showcased her jewelry collections and built up her reputation as a professional jewelry designer. In that same year she worked with Genia Galazka Neuschatz, a talented artist and gallery owner who introduced her to ceramics. It was then that the artist's love of using clay and combining natural gemstones emerged. More recently in 2009, Eva experimented with traditional and contemporary metal smithing techniques at the Kristen Hanson Fine Jewelry School in Brooklyn. These learned techniques are enbraced in her new designs. She works with clay and wax carvings, which are then casted in sterling silver, gold filled, bronze and 14k gold. In addition to jewelry making, Eva is a full time fifth grade elementary school teacher. Clay Couture and Eva Lopez Jewelry designs can be found online, and at select boutiques.

Some of my favorite pieces include....... the corset ring, feather necklace, coin ring and leather wrap bracelets . These simple pieces are eclectic and bohemian and always seem to be part of my daily wear. They are simple, yet they have just enough edge to get noticed.
